Who we are
AHFL — Affordable Homes For Life — is the landlord residents actually meet: the homes, the local team, the repairs service and the support that comes with them. We work with councils and housing providers so that the people on your community’s waiting list get a home that stays theirs.
We are part of the Affordable Homes For Life Group, which sources, improves and holds homes for the long term. That structure is the point: because no home is ever sold on, nobody has to leave when a landlord changes their mind.

Never sold on
Every home is held in perpetuity. Your tenancy is not a stop-gap while a sale is arranged — there is no sale.

Homes are brought up to the Decent Homes Standard and kept there, with energy upgrades so they cost less to run.

Framework
AHFL operates under the Affordable Homes For Life Group’s governance framework: a code of conduct, scheme-of-delegation and audit programme that apply to every entity in the Group.
Regulatory information
Homes are let and maintained to the Decent Homes Standard and current consumer standards. Where homes are managed with a registered provider, that provider’s regulatory obligations apply and are published on their site.
Complaints and scrutiny
Complaints follow a two-stage process with published timescales. Themes are reported to the resident panel and the board every quarter.
