Privacy notice.
How AHFL uses personal information on this website. Last updated July 2026.
This is a plain-English summary for the resident website while the full notice completes legal review. The version in force is always the one published here. Resident.Place has its own privacy information inside the app.
Who we are
This website is run by AHFL, part of the Affordable Homes For Life Group. The Group parent, Affordable Homes For Life Ltd, is registered at 124-128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. For information collected through this site, we are the data controller.
What we collect
- NABO pathway register of interest — your name, contact details, the area you would like to live in and anything you tell us about your situation, used to talk through whether the pathway could work for you.
- Community newsletter — your first name, email and area, used only to send you the newsletter you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Resident.Place sign-in — your resident ID and home postcode, used to sign you in. What happens inside Resident.Place is covered by its own privacy information.
- Job applications — your application details and CV, used only to consider you for roles at AHFL. Interview scheduling choices are held with your application.
- Press enquiries — your name, publication and message, used to answer your enquiry.
- Cookies — essential cookies always; analytics and marketing only with your consent (see the cookie policy).
How we use it
To respond to your enquiry, help you towards a home, run recruitment fairly, send you the updates you asked for and improve this site. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions with legal effects. Enquiries route into our enquiry-handling system with a reference and an owner; applications route into our hiring system.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle them and for a reasonable period after. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Unsuccessful application records are kept for 12 months, or longer with your consent so we can contact you about similar roles.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to or restrict our use of it. Contact us through any form on this site, by phone on 0800 004 006, or by post to Affordable Homes For Life Ltd, 124-128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
The Group and its brands
AHFL is part of the Affordable Homes For Life Group. Other Group brands and services, including Resident.Place, publish their own privacy information. This notice covers this resident website only.
